Mount Vernon Chapel is a beautiful, 12,000 square-foot funeral home, wedding venue, and event center co-owned and operated by Jay and Natania Darnell. Jay has 13 years of experience in the funeral industry and considers this to be his calling. The funeral home is housed in a historic home built in 1946 by Dr. Campbell and has been converted to its present day glory. We are located at 1716 McCullough Blvd in Tupelo, MS, on the corner of Mount Vernon Road and McCullough Boulevard beside a picturesque grove of mature pecan trees.

2024 will be our first year in business, and we hope to serve the community for many more years to come. We offer traditional funeral services, cremation services, preneed burial insurance, and markers and headstones. Here at Mount Vernon Chapel, we consider ourselves a full-service, one-stop shop funeral home that caters to the specific needs of each family in their time of need. We hope to earn the respect and trust of the community through top-notch service, compassion, and honesty. We want to make you feel as if you are a part of our own family.

We are also a wedding and event venue. We have a spacious chapel that seats up to 300 guests as well as an area for caterers to set up and serve meals. Mount Vernon Chapel is a multi-purpose , faith-based location. We are so excited to start serving our community and treating everyone who comes in our doors equally and with dignity.
